Darussalam, Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau, Chile, Morocco, Peru, and
Vietnam.
Nationals of the following countries can obtain a visa-on-arrival at their
port of entry to Indonesia: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil,
Canada, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland,
Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Maldives, New Zealand, Norway, Oman,
People¹s Republic of China, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia,
South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, United Arab
Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America. The visa-on-arrival fee
is US$25 for a 30-day visa and US$10 for a 7-day visa. Please note that the
day of arrival is counted as a full day regardless of arrival time, and so
is the day of departure. Visas-on-arrival are available at all designated
ports of entry to Indonesia.
Citizens of countries not eligible for a visa-free visit or visa-on-arrival
must apply for a visa at the nearest Indonesian embassy or consulate before
leaving for Indonesia. This includes citizens of the Netherlands. According
to an announcement by the Dutch Embassy in Indonesia on 12 April 2006, ³a
formal announcement is expected from the Indonesian authorities that Dutch
passport holders will also be able to get a visa for a maximum of 30 days
upon their arrival at the air-/seaport (visa-on-arrival). However, until a
formal notice has been received from the Indonesian authorities, Dutch
passport holders should arrange a visa before travelling to Indonesia, as
has been the case until now.²
Arrivals in Indonesia must have a passport valid for at least 6 months after
the entry date, as well as a continuing or return ticket from Indonesia.
