Data of the
Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology
Jakarta Field Station

Former data page (out of date!)

Download (relational CSV files): data_20160716.zip (248 MB)

Associated media files (audio and video), as well as Toolbox and ELAN files, are available at The Language Archive under this node.

The zip file linked above contains comma-separated plain text files comprising the vast majority of the coding data of the Jakarta Field Station and its collaborating projects, generated during its sixteen years of operations from 1999 to 2015.

The files generally adhere to http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4180 and are UTF-8 encoded.

One csv file is roughly equivalent to one database table, although some denormalized fields have been included for readability and quick access. The first row in each file contains field names. Please refer to 'relationships.png' (shown below) for a diagram of the table relationships.

Citation information can be found in 'projects.csv' and an overall citation format is specified in 'Jakarta_Field_Station.pdf'. Project description files have also been included (in pdf format) for some of the projects.
