Other comments: Zome or Zou has decimal system similar to that of Paite and other Northern Chin languages. Zomi has three tones Low, high, and mid tone unmark. Zo Chin or Zomi is spoken by approximately 80,000 speakers in Sagaing region, as well as Hakha, Tedim, and Tonzang townships, Chin state, Myanmar. Note that Zomi (or Zome) is a collective name for Tedim Chin in Myanmar, as well as for Paite and Vaiphei of Manipur in India. |
