Other comments: Yoba is an extinct language formerly spoken in Central province of Papua New Guinea, north of Magori, The last speaker probably survived into the 1980s (Dutton 1976). Yoba may have a quinary counting system. Numeral 5 is the word for 'hand', and the existence of a distinct numerals 10, 'nanau', conceivably borrowed from Magi. |
