Other comments: Umotína or Umutína is a recently extinct language of Brazil. The last speaker died in 2003. Umotína is one of the few languages in the world to have a linguolabial consonant; in unpublished data, Floyd Lounsbury reported it has the voiceless linguolabial plosive: /t̼/. Umotína has recorded traditional numerals from 1 to 5. years ago, not sure if they are still using traditional numbers after five or now use Portuguese numerals after five. New data for numbers after five is required. |
