Other comments: Tsamai or Ts'amakko is a Cushitic language spoken in South Omo area of Ethiopia by about 18,000 speakers. Tsamai has a vigesimal system. Twenty is expressed by 'qˀawko mume', which means 'one entire man=20 digits'. The word 'baɡo' means 'mouth', 'ɡore' means 'people. The numbers 'hundred', mato and 'thousand', 'ʃi' are both Amharic loan words. |
