Other comments: Tenis or Tench has decimal system spoken in Tench (Enus) island, Kavieng, New Ireland province, Papua New Guinea. This is a highly endangered language with few speakers left. Ethnic population, 250 (2015 J. Brownie). Now all the residents of the Tench Island were evacuated after the king tides and storms in early December. I haven't heard whether they have returned to the islands. |
