Other comments: Tapayuna language is part of the Je family and is spoken in northern Mato Grosso by people of the same name, these people, currently, lives in the village Kawêrêtxikô. Well, Tapayuna language uses a number system based on two, similar to the Suyá linguage. There they described the numerals to number 10. Tapayúna is spoken by approximately 58 speakers who no longer live with Suyás; they moved out of Xingú Park to live in Kayapó villages in Terra Indígena Capoto or Jarina reservation in Pará state (2002 ISA). |
