Other comments: Shuar or “Jivaro” (pej.) is spoken by approximately 42,000 speakers in Morona-Santiago province: east of Cuenca city, Ecuador. Shuar or Jivaro has a traditional counting system up to ten. However, they use Spanish numbers now. Achuar has two tonesː á = high tone, à = low tone. č = IPA [tʃ] |
