Other comments: Selayarese has a decimal numeral system with special substructures for 8 and 9 similar to that of Buginese. The number 'seven' is a Malay loanword. Selayar is spoken by approximately 100,000 speakers in Selayar island, South Sulawesi province, Indonesia. |
