Other comments: Rongga has two sets of numeral systemː one is borrowed from the nearby Li'o-Ende languages and the second is a traditional counting only up to to twenty and only a few elder speakers still remember this old counting system, which might be from a Papuan origin. Rongga is spoken by approximately 4,000 speakers in south central Flores island, East Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia. |
