Other comments: Puyuma has a decimal system, the above data was taken from Pinan dialec. There are three forms of cardinal numbers from one to ten in Pinan dialect of Puyuma. The first set is used in series counting, the second for counting thing and the for counting human beings. Puyuma is a moribund language spoken by about 1,000 speakers (about 14,500 ethnic population) in southeast coast and inland, Taitung county, Taiwan. |
