Other comments: Pekal has a numeral system similar to that of Malay. The numbers from 11 onward might be similar to those of Malay with some phonological changes. Pekal is spoken approximately 30,000 speakers in in villages northeast of Ipuh town to Tembesi river, to Argamakmur area south, Sumatera Selatan and Bengkulu provinces, Sumatra, Indonesia. |
