Other comments: Otuho or Lotuho (Lotuxo) is spoken by approximately 300,000 speakers in Ikotos, Magwi, and Torit counties, Eastern Equatoria state, South Sudan. Otuho has a deciaml system with special formation for numerals 7, 8 and 9. Muratori notes that the numbers 7 through 9 are composed of the term 'xotto' group, plus the numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively. So, 7 is ' group' plus 2, 8 is 'group' plus 3 and 9 is group plus 4. There is an English loan for 1000. |
