Other comments: Namakura or Namakir has a quinary system. The word for 'thousand' man might be a loanword from Polynesian language. As for the numerals from 6 to 9, 'lateh' (5 + 1)', etc., I doubt the speakers perceive the numbers as such synchronically but etymologically of course that maybe be the case. The word 'man' might be from 'mano' a loanword from Polynesian as there are a number of Polynesian outlier languages in this area have this word for 'thousand'. Namakura is spoken by about 3,000 speakers in north Efate island, Shefa province, Vanuatu.
