Other comments: Tangkhul Naga has a decimal numeral system, the 'həŋ' in decades, 50 to 90 is a variant of the numeral 'ten', 'tʰəra'. Tangkhul Naga has three tones; rising=v́, falling=v̀, and level tone (unmarked ). The above data was based on Hunphun Variety of Tangkhul Naga Language. Tangkhul Naga is spoken by approximately 180,000 speakers in Ukhrul district, Manipur state as well as Nagaland and Tripura states, northeast India. |
