Other comments: Moronene has a decimal system similar to that of Bungku. Note the there are two sets of numerals 1 to 10; the first set if called 'free form', and the second is 'bound form. Moronene is spoken by approximately 26,000 speakers in Southeast Sulawesi province: Bombana regency, Bombana district, Wita Ea village; Rumbia mountains on southeast mainland; Kabaena island, Tokotu’a village; mainland opposite Kabaena. Rumbia, Poleang, and Poleang Timur sub-districts (Wita Ea dialect). |
