Eastern Xiangxi Miao (muq), alternate names: Eastern Ghao-Xong, Eastern Miao, Eastern West-Hunan Miao, Ghao-Xong, Hsianghsi Miao, Meo Do, Northern Miao, Red Meo, Red Miao is spoken by approximately 80,000 speakers (Wang and Mao 1995) in Guzhang, Jishou, Longshan, and Luxi counties, Hunan province, some in Chongqing city, Guizhou and Hubei provinces, and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. |
