Other comments: Mekeo has a quinary-decimal system. Number 'hundred' is a loanword from Roro language. The above data was taken from East Mekeo or Central Mekeo dialect. Mekeo is spoken by about 20,000 speakers in Central province and Gulf province, Papua New Guinea. |
