Other comments: Mangseng has a quinary system. They use Pidgin or a hybrid of Pidgin for 100 and above. (200=handret or aini). Note that in orthographic spellingsː a=IPA[ɑ], o=IPA [ɔ], th=IPA [ð] and v=IPA[β], r=[r], a trill. Mangseng is spoken by about 2,500 speakers in border between East New Britain province and West New Britain province, Papua New Guinea. |
