Other comments: Merina Malagasy has a decimal system. There are two options for the linkers 'ambin'ny' and 'amby' in compound numerals 11 to 19, 21 to 29. The 'f' sound in ten changed to 'p' in 21 to 29, 30 and other tens, except for 90. Merina Malagasy is spoken by over 7,000,000 speakers in Madagascar, Comoros, Mauritius and Reunion. |
