Other comments: Maiwala has a traditional quinary counting system. Now most of the people preference is to use English numbers. The simple numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 may still be used now. Maiwala is spoken by about 3,000 speakers in Alotau district, Huhu LGA, Milne bay head, Milne Bay province, Papua New Guinea. |
