Other comments: Maijuna or Maihuna, Maijɨki, Máíhɨki, “Orechon” is pejorative. This group is spoken by approximately 190 speakers out of 300 ethnic population in Loreto region: Algodón, Putumayo, Sucusari, and Yanayacu rivers Peru. However, younger generation has
abandoned the language and most of the Maijuna culture and shifting to
Spanish. Maijuna
or
Orejón
has a base five numeral system using hands and feet up to twenty. The
