Other comments: Lamenu or Lamen has a quinary system. the word for 'thousand' manu is a loanword from Polynesian language. Lamenu is spoken by about 500 speakers (Early 2002) in Lamenu island, Epi island northwest tip, and Luganville, Port Vila, and Sara villages, Shefa province, Vanuatu. |
