Other comments: Lagwan or Kotoko-Logone is spoken by approximately 15,000 speakers in Far North region: Logone-and-Chari division, Logone-Birni subdivision north of Waza National Park, Logone river bank across to Nigeria border, Cameroon as well as Chad. Lagwan (Logone) has an old vigesimal system. Nowadays, the higher numerals from thirty onwards are also borrowed from Chadic Arabic and Hausa. |
