Other comments: Ladakhi or
Lehpa/Lehskat
has a decimal system. Ladakhi
is spoken in 15,000 speakers in
villages and hamlets in Jammu and Kashmir state,
Northwest
India. There are three larger
dialect groups or clusters: Baltipa-Purikpa Shamskat (including Easter
Purikpa (Wakka-Mulbek, Ciktan side valley, possibly up to Bodkharbu);
Shamma or the dialects of the lower region along the Indus plus Lingshet
and possibly parts of the Markha valley); and Ldumrapa (or Nubrapa),
Kenhat (including Lehpa, Changthangpa, Zanskarpa). |
