Other comments: Coastal Konjo has a decimal numeral system with special substructures for 8 and 9 similar to that of Makassarese. The number 'seven' is a Malay loanword. Coastal Konjo or Kondjo is spoken by approximately 167,000 speakers in South Sulawesi province: Bantaeng, Bulukumba, and Sinjai regencies; southeast peninsula on Salayer strait, Indonesia. |
