Other comments: Kokota has a system similar to that of Blablanga mixing with Austronesian numbers with other indigenous origins. Numbers 'one to five, seven and ten' are from Austronesian origins. Kokota has a traditional vigesimal system based on twenty 'tutu or tutuɣa', which means 'a score'. Kokota is spoken by about 1,200 speakers Ghoveo and Sisiga villages in Santa Isabel, Isabel province, Solomon Islands. |
