Other comments: With some differences in tones, most of the numerals of Khün or Khoen are identical to those of Lue, Northern Thai, Phuan, Lao and Thai. Khoen borrowed Thai higher numbers for hundred and thousand. Khün is spoken by approximately 120,000 speakers in Shan state, Kentung valley area east, Myanmar, as well as Laos and Thailand. |

Other comments: With some differences in tones, the numerals of Khün or Khuen are identical to those of Shan. The phonetic realization of the tones is described using Chao (1934) system which used a 5-point scale with 1-low and 5-high. The tones as are follows: Tone 1: 25; Tone 2: 32, Tone 3: 12; Tone 4: 22: Tone 5:33: tone 6: 52. |
