Other comments: Kaxabu is a group of plains indigenous people in Taiwan that has been sinicized a lot. As a record notes, they generally speak Southern Min with outside world and use Kaxabu within family. Kaxabu has a quinary system very similar to that of the Pazeh language. There are two forms for the number oneː the first one is used in serial counting, the second for counting things, human beings and with numbers 'hundred' and 'thousand'. Kaxabu is a nearly extinct Sinicized language with only about 15 speakers left (2009). Someone classified it as a dialect of the Pazeh language. |
