Other comments: Jaqaru or Ak’aro, Haq’aru is spoken by approximately 740 speakers out of 2,000 ethnic population (730 Jaqaru and 9 Cauqui) in Lima region: Yauyos province, Cachuy and Tupe villages; into Ica region, Peru. The language is spoken by adults only and all people shifting to Spanish. Jaqaru has a decimal system similar to that of Aymara. |
