Other comments: North Giziga has a decimal system. In North Giziga, the number 'one' has three forms 'ɓlà, tiɗka and pàl' used in different places and formation of 11 is different from other compound numerals 12 to 19. The number 8 ‘dàːɡàfàɗ' might be derived from ''2 x 4''. The big number 'thousand ' is a Kanuri loan-word originated from Hausa. North Giziga is spoken by approximately 20,000 in Far North Region, Cameroon. |
