Other comments: Dzao Min or Ba Pai Yao has a decimal system. Dzao Min only retained traditional numerals from one to eight, after ten they use numerals from Chinese variety (Yue or Hakka) mixing with indigenous terms. Dzao Min is spoken by approximately 60,000 speakers in Liannan and Yangshan counties, Guangdong province, and Yizhang county, Hunan province, China. Dzao Min is Not intelligible with other Mienic languages. Lexical similarity: 61% with Iu Mien, 59% with Kim Mun, 58% with Biao-Jiao Mien. |
