Other comments: Duau has a quinary counting system. Now most of the people preference is to use English numbers. The simple numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 may still be used frequently now. Duau is spoken by about 3,600 speakers in Duau Rural LLG, Normanby and Sawabwala islands of the D'Entrecasteaux Islands, Papua New Guinea. |
