Other comments: Dambi, like other most of Austronesian languages in Morobe province, has a digit-tally counting system up to twenty. Generally only numbers 1-5 and 10 are regularly used now, for the other numbers words are commonly borrowed from Tok Pisin and English. Dambi is spoken by about 350 speakers in Mumeng district, Morobe province, Papua New Guinea. |
