Other comments: Cinta Larga is spoken by approximately 650 speakers in Mato Grosso state: Terra Indigena Aripuanã; Rondônia state: Terra Indigena Roosevelt, Parque Indigena Aripuanã, Brazil. Cinta Larga has a traditional counting system based on hands and toes before: one“ is "muj“ and "two“ is "busyt“. Five is "muj pabe“ - "one hand“. But today they use portuguese for being much easier. The other numbers are long words or half frases, so they´re no more in common use. |
