Other comments: Chiquitano or Chiquito is an endangered language with 4,600 spekers in about 47,000 ethnic population in Santa Cruz department: Ángel Sandoval and Germán Busch, Chiquitos, Concepción, Florida and Velasco provinces, Bolivia as well as Brazil. There is no numerical system in Chiquitano. The only two words referring to numbers areː ''taman'' = 'one' and 'sürümana'' = 'many'. Since Chiquitanos are fairly bilingual and bicultural, they are using the Spanish numerical system with phonetic and morpho-phonemic adaptations. From number 6 upwards the numerals are identical with Spanish. 'taman' is not used in higher numbers such as 21.
