Other comments: Chácobo or Chákobo is spoken with 1,400 speakers in 1,800 ethnic population in El Beni department: Alto Ivon, California, Cayuses, Motacusal, Núcleo, Nuevo Mojos, Siete Almendros; south of Riberalta on Alto Ivon river, Bolivia. Chácobo has only a word ''wɨstíta~wɨsti'' for 'one, once, at least once' and "raβɨ́ta~raβɨ" for ‘two, twice’. There is word for 3 'tʃitimití', but not in wide use. |

Chácobo has only a word ''wïst'ta'' for 'one'' as in wɨ̈sti honi ''one man'' and wɨ̈sti yoša ''one woman'', ''wïsti ma' [wïsti+ma negative=not one] or many. There is another term ''rabḯta'' which means ''a few'', as in rabɨ̈ honi bo=several men (b=pl.). Notes the (ɨ̈)=IPA [ɪ] or [ɨ]. |
