Other comments: Cavineña or Kavinenya is spoken by approximately 600 speakers out of 1,680 ethnic population in El Beni department: Baqueti, Bolívar, California, Candelaria, El Choro, Francia, Galilea, Misión Cavinas, Natividad, Pando, Paraíso, Peña Guarayo, San José, San Juan, San Miguel, Santa Catalina; southeast of Riberalta along Beni river, Bolivia. Cavineña has only remained two traditional numbers one and two. From three onwards, they borrowed Aymara numerals mixing with two traditional Cavineña numbers, but nowadays Spanish numerals are being used more popular now. |
