Other comments: Blablanga has numeral system mixing with Austronesian numbers with other indigenous origins. Numbers 'one to five, seven and ten' are from Austronesian origins. Blablanga has a traditional vigesimal system based on twenty 'tutu or tutuɣa', which means 'a score'. Blablanga is spoken in Santa Isabel island, Maringe district, Hovukoilo and Popoheo villages, Isabel province, Solomon Islands. Note that: Note that the <hn> as in number 6 'hnablo', 8 'hnana' and 9 'hneva' is a voiceless or devoiced nasal [n̥], traditionally spelt as 'hn'. Blablanga is spoken by about 1,700 speakers in Hovukoilo and Popoheo villages, Maringe district, Santa Isabel island, Isabel province, Solomon Islands. |
