Other comments: Bhujel has lexical similarity with Chepang. Nowadays, the Bhujel speakers use Nepali numerals after three. Note the orthography spelling 'jy'=IPA [dʒ]. Bhujel is a moribund language spoken by approximately 5,000 speakers in 7,200 ethnic population (Regmi 2007) in Chitwan district, Bagmati province and East Nawalparasi district and Tanahun district, Gandaki province, Nepal. |
