Yemeni Arabic or Colloquial Arabic of Sanaa (Yemen) has preserved the fricative interdental phonemes whereas the Egyptian system has plosive consonant. Yemeni Arabic is a cluster of varieties of Arabic spoken in Yemen and southwestern Saudi Arabia by approximately 15.1 million speakers. |
