Other comments: Anung has a decimal system. Note on tone markers: 33 = Mid-tone, 31= Low- tone, High- tone =55, Rising tone = 35, Falling tone =53. The data was taken from Anung language of Kachin State, Myanmar. Spoken in Khaunglangphu and Putao Townships, as well as by diaspora communities in Myitkyina and other places. A few speakers also remain in Mugujia village, Fugong County, Nujiang Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. The variety presented here is the one currently being used in literature produced in Myanmar. |
