There are no real top range hotels of international standard in Manokwari, all the more reason to come before the Novotels and their clientele arrive. The fanciest hotel in town is the Swiss Belhotel, while the next best, but with the most beautiful location by far, is the Mansinam Beach Hotel. Other than these two, there is a wide choice of mid and lower range hotels, though none stand out as being exceptional in any way, and at any given time, a certain percentage of the promised facilities (water, airconditioning, TV, minibar, etc.) are likely to be broken down — just grin and bear it. Prices are around 50% to 100% more than what you'd expect from similar standard hotels in Indonesia proper, but fluctuate frequently, and are negotiable.

Mansinam Beach Hotel

A few kilometers northeast of town, in a village called Kwawi, beautifully situated on the waterfront facing Mansinam island. Watersports, billiards, karaoke, a good restaurant over the water, and occasional wifi. The cheaper rooms are clean and modern, but very small and with no view.
