Other comments: Yambeta or Yambetta is spoken by approximately 3,700 speakers in Centre region: Mbam-and-Inoubou division, north Kon-Yambeta subdivision northwest of Bafia town, Cameroon. Yambeta has a vigesimal system with five-based substructure and a single word for fifteen. The numbers 'ɔ́ndɛ́d' and 'tɔ́ɔsɛ̀n' are borrowed from English. The Yambeta numeral system is different from those of other languages in the Mbam group. |
