Other comments: Yalaku or Yelogu is spoken by about 1,000 people in three villages off the Sepik River—Yalaku, Hambakaini and Kumajuwi. The Yalaku village is located around the Lake Kaguvel, about two hours by boat off the Sepik river, starƟng from the township of AmbunƟ. Yalaku has recorded traditional numerals from 1 to 4 years ago, not sure if they are still using old traditional numbers or body tally after 4 or now use Tok Pisin numerals after 4. New data for numbers after four is required. |
