Other comments: Xaasongaxango or Xaasonga has a decimal system similar to that of Bambara. Note that the vowel with a 'n' indicates nasalization. The tones has little functional weight in the Xaasonga language. Xaasongaxango or Kasonke is spoken by approximately 710,000 speakers in Kayes region: Bafoulabé, Kayes, and Kéniéba circles, Mali as well as Gambia and Senegal. |
