Other comments: Vai has a quinary-vigesimal system. There are English loanwords for hundred and thousand with phonological adaptations. Vai is spoken by approximately 210,000 speakers in Bomi county: southwest coast; Grand Cape Mount county: coast and inland, Guinea as well as Sierra Leone. |
