Other comments: Northern Tiwa or Tigua, Tiwa is spoken by approximately 1,000 adults or older adults speakers only out of 1,800 ethnic population in north central New Mexico. Northern Tiwa has a decimal system. The numbers for hundred and thousand are loanwords from Spanish. The above data are from Taos dialect. |
