Other comments: Modern Shughni borrowed Tajiki numerals after ten. It‘s rare that we hear the old numeral system—after ten everybody uses the Tajik/Farsi numbers. Shughni or Shugnan-Rushanis spoken by approximately 80,000 speakers in Pamir mountains, Kuhistoni Badakhshon region, Tajikistan as well as Afghanistan. |
